Paul Wilkins, originally from Hampshire, graduated with a BA Hons in Musical Theatre from ArtsEd London in 2015. His early career began in the West End’s 30th Anniversary London company of Les Misérables, where he was part of the ensemble and served as 2nd cover Marius. After six months in the production, Paul was offered the lead role of Marius on the international tour, performing in Manila, Singapore, and the opening of the Dubai Opera House. He later returned to London to continue in the role at The Queen's Theatre for another 18 months.
Following Les Misérables, Paul originated the role of Reggie in The Dreamers, an original British musical based on the true story of World War I officer David Reginald Salomons. The production, created by James Beeny and Gina Georgio, developed through workshops at the Victoria Palace Theatre, and was brought to life in an album recording and full performance at Abbey Road Studios—the first musical ever staged at this historic venue.
In stark contrast to Les Misérables and The Dreamers, Paul toured the UK and Germany as Claude Bukowski in the 50th Anniversary Tour of Hair! - a vast shift from classical to rock opera vocals. Beyond Hair, Paul has participated in workshops for new productions, including Lady M, where he also recorded the album, and Ann Duck by Cush Jumbo, produced by The National Theatre. He has also appeared as a soloist on BBC Radio 2's Friday Night is Music Night.
In September 2023, Paul relocated to Cork, Ireland, to pursue a Master’s in Music Performance at the Cork School of Music. While establishing himself in Ireland, he secured a role in the 2024 commercial Your Vote Is Your Voice for Ireland's Electoral Commission. Paul continues to maintain professional ties in London and remains engaged in roles across the UK, Ireland, and internationally, while represented by Adam Mendelsohn at The Narrow Road Company, London.
