New British Musical Set to Make History at Abbey Road Studios

Paul Wilkins sat down on sofa in Abbey Road Studios

Paul Wilkins is to originate role of Reggie in The Dreamers, a new British musical by James Beeny and Gina Georgio. Set during First World War, The Dreamers follows Reggie, a young officer thrust into leadership by his powerful father. As he faces the trials of war and a tense rivalry with a bitter recruit, Jack, Reggie’s resilience is tested when disaster strikes, forcing the two to unite amidst chaos.

Following developmental workshops and an album recording at Abbey Road Studios, this new British musical is set to make history with a full-scale production debuting in December 2018 at Abbey Road itself. This will be the first musical ever staged inside the iconic Studio One, which has hosted legendary artists like The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Sting, U2, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Directed by Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy, with choreography by Lee Proud, The Dreamers is set to support the Stars Foundation for Cerebral Palsy, with all profits from the event going directly to the charity.
